Topic: Traditional Market
Summary: We held this meeting on a Saturday at the Park Shopping. We decided to talk about Traditional Market Topic.
We got curious about the many traditional products that can be found in these markets, since they are so different from what we can find in Brazilian markets. We also got interested in the history of these
markets because they exist since the
old times and we heard that some of them have been revitalised to overcome challenges that appeared with Korea transformation on market and lifestyle in the last years. These traditional markets have been tracking the attention of many tourists who look for local specialities and unique experiences. Based on this discussion, we elaborated some questions ahead.
Camila: "It was a different discussion, I think it was the fact that those markets are so different from ours, it was nice to discuss and learn about it."
Carolina: "Since korean market is so different from ours, it would be nice to know more about it in person and have contact if korean products."
Daiana: "It's amazing the diversity of products throughout the year and how it persists today."
Ester: "It's amazing the difference between Koreans and Brazilians and I felt very excited discussing this"
Isabela: "I loved discussing this topic with my peers. I was able to visit Korea during the summer of 2019, and the markets were one of my favourite places to visit. It was amazing to reminisce!!"
Lígia: "I think that traditional markets can share so much information about history and the life of the local people. I am curious to learn more about how these Korean traditional markets were revitalised and the context when they were created. The discussion of this topic was really interesting. In the future, I want to visit the traditional markets of different cities in Korea and to try the regional food described in the pdf file."
